Madrid (Spain), 7th January 2021. RIO Cartridges reaches 125 years of age from the day in 1896 it was established in the north of Spain. A very symbolic anniversary that showcases its lengthy trajectory in the sports and hunting munitions marketplace.
RIO Cartridges came into being in 1896 and ever since its conception has been linked to explosives and gunpowder, under the auspices of the Spanish Gunpowder & Dynamite Company (Sociedad Española de Pólvora y Dinamita), founded in 1872 by Alfred Nobel. Currently, RIO Cartridges is one of the household names in the manufacture and distribution of cartridges worldwide, with a cutting-edge production process and state-of-the-art technology that has led to its winning the confidence of hunters and shooters from more than 100 countries.
Throughout these 125 years, RIO Cartridges has developed one of the most extensive ranges of shotgun cartridges for clay shooting and hunting. With this great event in mind, RIO Cartridges has launched a new logo to commemorate its 125 years, with which to accentuate its important legacy and tradition, in addition to its quality.
